ABOUT KRISTA VOYSEST
At age of 15 I began
studying the healing arts. In 1972 I began
studying oriental diagnosis, the principles of
acupuncture, nutritional and herbal medicine. I
heard about homeopathy at that time and determined
to study it. In college I studied music, dance, and languages
and made a living in the arts and teaching
Spanish. I hold a BA in Music and in
Spanish and a Masters degree in Spanish earned in Spain through Middlebury College.
I began studying homeopathy
on my own and devoured books and information about
the resurrecting science and art. In 1991 I enrolled in the Pacific Academy of Homeopathic
Medicine. On off weekends, I had the privilege of
studying with homeopathic teachers such as Sheliah Creasy, Jeremy Sherr, and
others who gave frequent seminars in the San
Francisco Bay area in California. In 1992 I bought
my first computer program Macrepretory and Reference Works, which
made my study of homeopathy infinitely easier to
grasp. In that year I also began to practice
healing the sick with the beautiful art of
homeopathy.
I graduated from the Pacific
Academy in 1995 and immediately enrolled in Louis
Klein's Homeopathic Masters Clinician Course, one
of the best steps in my homeopathic career. I had
gained a lot of information in my undergraduate
years at Pacific Academy, and Louis Klein taught
me how to think, see what needs to be cured and
apply the principles of homeopathy in my practice.
In 1997 I passed the CCH board exam which is a
certifying exam for homeopaths. I am also a
registered member of the society of homeopaths in
North America (RSHom N.A.)
In 2000 I began studying with Dr. Massimo Mangialavori. Two years later I enrolled in his four year Koiné international postgraduate school in in Boston, Massachusetts (Koiné: Scuola Internazionale di Formazione Permanente in Medicina Omeopatica Classica) graduating in 2006.
I have been practicing homeopathy in Wisconsin
since 1997.
In addition to practicing homeopathy, I am a certified Bowen practitioner. After receiving Bowen work from a specialist, I was convinced that Bowen was the best hands-on pain relief compliment to my homeopathic practice. I began studying The Bowen Technique with certified Bowen work instructors in January of 2005 and became certified in the Technique in July 2009. The results are often immediate in my practice and even long standing structural complaints are mitigated quickly. I have passed all modules and have enjoyed advanced training with Sandra Gustofson.
